Loving the Clutch

Right now I am really into using a clutch. I love big bags but sometimes you just want to carry a few things and run out the door.

Lauren Merkin Metallic Eve Clutch $180

Michael Kors Envelope Clutch, Blush or Taupe $295
I have to admit that this post really started with this clutch. I really love how it looks like you are carrying a little envelope.

Goldenbleu Tiffany Patent Clutch $455

Jimmy Choo Patent Clutch $750

B. Makowsky Metallic Clutch $98.00
This comes in Bronze Metallic, black leather and champagne metallic. I am really digging the green since it reminds me of summer and fresh cut grass.

Wet Seal Reptile Hard Hinge Clutch $12.50.

This comes in hot pink and silver. This is actually a really cute clutch and it is so cheap that you can get both colors. I like that it is hard it has a certain vintage feel to it.

Gotta get me some sunglasses

There are four basic face shapes; oval, square, heart and round. The key to finding a good pair of sunglasses or two is to know your face shape.

Match your shape with some of our famous faces:

Round- Christina Ricci, Stella McCartney

Square- Salma Hayak, Gwenie

Oval- Eva Longoria, Halle Berry

Heart- Scarlet Johnansson, Clair Danes

Oval faces look good in just about any lens shape. Lucky you!

Square faces have high temples, and look good with rounded lenses to soften shape contours. Think Jackie O.

Heart shaped faces look good in frames that flare out toward the cheeks think aviator!

Round faces look fabulous when you have square frames they really lengthen and slim down your face.

Now go out and get yourself some sunglass and pretend to be famous.

Yves Saint Laurent Large-Arm Sunglasses $210

Oliver Peoples collection. Cyn Sunglasses $315

MARC by Marc Jacobs Rimless Logo Metal Sunglasses $90

Juicy Couture Royal Logo Sunglasses $185

Chloe Aviator Sunglasses $275

cropped jackets

The cropped jacket help you obtain a look that that is cute and is absolutely effortless. Since the jackets are very comfy and sexy you can pair it with anything from jeans, skirts and more and it instantly dresses you up.

Design History

Cropped sweater jacket comes in black and brown and is a great price at $54. This jacket has cute fake pockets with a three button closure and would look great with jeans for a casual night out or on the weekend.

Behnaz Sarafpour Cropped Tuxedo Jacket - Ebony $22.49

Arden B Tweed Flare Sleeve Jacket - on Sale $79.00

I particularly like this tweed jacket and expecially the two large buttons and collar. Rachel Bilson was seen recently wearing a jacket very similar to this.

Juicy Couture Cropped Peacoat $275.00

This has the best of both a cropped jacket and a trench all rolled up into a neat little package.

You do not have to be Goth or Lindsay Lohan to wear black nail polish. If you are looking to experiment but do not want to spend too much then here are a few options.

OPI Black Onyx Nail Lacquer $8.50

NYX Nails Nail Polish, Black 27 $2.99

MAC Nail Laquer in Nightfall $10

I like this one the best overall because of the nice black frost. This one is available on line and at most MAC counters.
If you are totally into this look and are ready for the Queen of all black nail polishes then go to your closest Chanel counter and ask to buy the tester!

Golden Globes 2007

I love to watch the Golden Globes to see what all the celebrities are wearing. It seems that many stars were wearing white while a few wore metallic dresses.

Sienna Miller

Wearing a Marchesa gown which was very pretty but I was not a huge fan of the hair. The back of Sienna's hair was messy in a bad way....

Hayden Panettiere

Wore a lovely Monique Lhuillier dress and I especially love the sash around the dress which breaks up the white and gives it a fun and funky edge. Her purse is very unique - you open up the jeweled part and it is a mirror which is perfect if you need to check your lipstick.

Emily Blunt

She is wearing a vintage gown and also won a Golden Globe.

Cameron Diaz

Many people did not like this dress and I have to admit I am not sure how I feel.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

They totally looked like old Hollywood glamor. In one of their interviews she seemed extremely quiet and not interested in being interviewed.

Penelope Cruz

This Chanel dress was made for her by Karl which was so nice of him. This dress looked really great on her.

Jennifer Lopez

The back of this dress was strappy and just lovely. The dress was very pretty and she really worked it.

Drew Barrymore

John Galliano for Christian Dior - I love this grecian inspired dress. Her makeup and glow was just great.

Some of my other favorites where Kate Winslet in a Azzaro column dress with Chopard jewels, Heidi Klum and Salma Hayek both in white dresses. I also totally loved Reese's hair it was simply amazing.

Cameron and Justin

It has been almost four years and Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake are over. Here is their press release breakup.

"It has always been our preference not to comment on the status of our relationship, but, out of respect for the time we've spent together, we feel compelled to do so now, in light of recent speculation and the number of inaccurate stories that are being reported by the media," the pair said. "We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship, and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another."

I just love this Chanel dress and how she paired it with nude pumps.

So who do you think Cameron should be with?

Mr. Blackwell's 47th annual "Worst Dressed" Celebrities

Well it is official Mr. Blackwell has published his “Worst Dressed” list and all I have to say is I disagree with most of his choices and have to question some of his “fabulous fashion independents”.

“Worst Dressed” list
1. Britney Spears/Paris Hilton … Britney did look bad this year but I blame her ex. Paris usually has something very expensive but nice on.
2. Camilla Parker-Bowles … The woman wears a lot of hats but hey give her a break
3. Lindsay Lohan … Lindsay has a great sense of fashion and has worn some fab clothes in 2006.
4. Christina Aguilera … Christina has been rocking the whole Marilyn Monroe vibe I guess Mr. Blackwell is not a fan
5. Mariah Carey… Ehh I am not too impressed with her clothes but she is in great shape
6. Paula Abdul …. Sorry Paula it is true and you need a new stylist.
7. Sharon Stone… Honestly I have no clue what she has been wearing… does anyone?
8. Tori Spelling … Sometimes she wears cute stuff but is it that bad?
9. Sandra Oh …. Ok she wore a little too many accessories with one of her dresses but her hair looked great.
10. Meryl Streep… She was fantastic in the Devil Wears Prada and she is a fantastic actress!

10 "fabulous fashion independents"

Kate Winslet … Loved what she wore in InStyle magazine December 2006
Angelina Jolie … Angelina and Jennifer Anniston wear way too much black.
Helen Mirren …. I have no idea who this is.
Barbra Streisand …. She has a great voice but I do not remember anything she wore in 2006 that was fantastic.
Beyonce…. She looked fantastic in 2006!
California Rep. Nancy Pelosi… I have never seen this woman not wear a suit.
Princess Charlotte of Monaco….
Heidi Klum … Heidi looked fab in every Project Runway show!
Katie Holmes … Besides the fact that she is married to the Cruise she has definitely stepped up with her fashion.
Marcia Cross … She is bacially always dressed in a simple but elegant manner like her character Bree.

Francesco Biasia Small Object of Desire Sale Price: $278.40

This bag is made of super soft leather and is actually a shoulder bag which is a plus for most women.

Marc Jacobs

I have always been fascinated by Marc Jacobs. He is truly a talented and well respected fashion designer. His bags are often worn by celebrities and bagaholics around the world.

Marc Jacobs Bal Harbour Satchel $1,275.00. I love the eggshell soft leather and especially how you can detach the gold chain if you are not feeling it. It has the famous signature buckle on the front and love the ruched leather which gives it a totally new look. So far I have seen this bag in eggshell, moccasin and khaki.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Multi-Pocket Bag $358 I still have a soft spot for the multi-pocket bag. I love how you can stick everything in all those little pockets and everything can have its place, I feel this is good for the part of my brain that likes to pretend it has a Type A personality.

Marc Jacobs Striping Trish $1,350.00. This round barrel bag also has shiny leather stripes that come in either dark brown or black and the leather has been treated to look cracked. I personally like how the shoulder strap is removable so it will not get in the way when you just want to carry the bag on your wrist.

Marc Jacobs Striping Hudson $1,350.00. You can get this bag in either Chestnut or Black. I love the two top zipped pockets that can help you organize all of your stuff. The cracked leather with shiny leather stripes totally makes this bag into one hot commodity.
